Brisbane, Australia 2014
A group of 14 pupils and 4 teachers visited Brisbane for a study trip from 25 May to 1 June. One of the highlights of the trip was a visit to World Heritage-listed Fraser Island, the largest sand island in the world. Fraser Island is home to abundant flora and fauna, untouched freshwater lakes and creeks, and some of the world’s rarest sand dunes. Another highlight was the farm stay at Mystery Mountain where pupils had the chance to experience outdoor bush cooking, animal feeding and stargazing. Through the study trip, the pupils learnt to live and work independently and as a group. They also learnt about the differences in culture, customs and norms between Australia and Singapore.
