Our School Rules
RESPECT AND DIGNITY
-
Every student of Teck Ghee Primary School must be respectful to everyone at all times. Students must show kindness in words and actions.

Every student must conduct him/herself in a manner which upholds the good name of the school.
ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY
-
Students must attend school regularly and punctually by 7.30 am.
-
Students must not leave the school grounds during the school day without permission.
-
Students attending afternoon activities are not allowed to leave the school premises during the lunch break before the commencement of the afternoon activity.
NATIONAL ANTHEM AND PLEDGE
-
All students must display respectful behaviour during the singing of the National Anthem and the recitation of the National Pledge.

Students who are Singapore Citizens must sing the National Anthem and take the Pledge. Students will take the Pledge with the right fist placed over the heart.
ATTIRE AND APPEARANCE

Students must wear the prescribed school uniform (as well as PE attire) and modification to the school uniform (as well as PE attire) is not allowed.

PE attire is to be worn only on PE, PAL and Fabulous Friday days.

Shirt must be neatly tucked in at all times.

Students must be neat in appearance, clean-shaven and no facial hair is allowed.

Students must not wear jewellery, accessories and make-up to school. Girls may wear one pair of small ear studs. Multiple ear studs on one ear are not allowed.
PERSONAL ITEMS

Unauthorised use of mobile device (including, but not limited to, mobile phones, tablets, laptops and smart watches) during curriculum hours is strictly prohibited as we believe that learning should take place with fewer distractions. Mobile device may be used in the canteen after dismissal hours for communication purposes with parents/guardians only. Students found using their mobile devices inappropriately will result in the confiscation of the mobile device as a disciplinary consequence and for the purpose of investigations. Parents will be engaged accordingly.

If students bring mobile devices to school, they should be responsible for their property and not flaunt it or invite and draw attention to it. The school will not be held accountable for any damage or loss.
SERIOUS OFFENCES

Students are not allowed to have in their possession any weapon. They are also not allowed to bring any weapon-like item which is used or intended to be used to cause harm to others.

All students are to carry out mindful practices and must not commit the following serious offences:

Open defiance to peers and teachers
-
Disruptive behaviour
-
Bullying
-
Truancy
-
Theft
-
Any other offence deemed serious by the school

CONSEQUENCES
School rules are for compliance. The consequences will be in accordance with the type and nature of the offence for students to work on his or her strengths and correct the misbehaviour.
